I was reading some essays written by a famous Korean Buddhist and came across some of the most beautiful words.
I was inspired.
It excites me to come across people with such beautiful thoughts.
I saw his every word, felt his passion, lived his vision.
I wanted to translate it….but since a lot of the gem gets lost in translating anything, I thought I would make it my own and share it with the world…so here it is:
For there is wind, the flower blooms
For its death, the fruit ripens
My friend,
do not feel sorrow
of its lost petals
Deep in the forest,
You, the song bird
do not find reasons to cry
Life, without its trials
is not worth living
not worth trying
not worth crying
The world has told me
its riches and honor
But time has given me
wisdom and faith
For if it does not flow, it is not water
If we do not age, we are not people
If it does not pass, do not call it time
Far, deep in the passing cloud
I see my youth pass me by,
The irony of our time
is just a scene in a play.
In this world,
only the heart holds infinity
